About Me

Let's Begin...

Have you ever had that feeling—like something is missing? Or the sense that there’s something more you need in order to make sense of what’s happening in your life?

I have too. When that feeling shows up, I lean in. I pay attention. I listen.

Hi, I’m Valerie. I help people notice what they are trained to ignore. And yes—that tends to change things.

I’m a registered nurse, integrative nutrition and detox coach, and a lifelong student of how bodies, lives, and beliefs actually work—not in theory, but in real life. I’ve spent years inside systems that do incredible things… and often miss the quieter signals that matter most.

In short, I’m a professional pattern-noticer.

The truth is, you don’t need more willpower, more rules, or another plan to “fix” yourself or your life. What you need is space. Space to slow down. Space to listen. Space to reconnect—with yourself, with truth, and with what your body has been trying to say all along.

That’s where my work lives. I believe healing and transformation happen naturally when we remove the noise, reduce signal overload, and learn how to listen again—to our bodies, our lives, and the truth that’s already present. My approach is rooted in nursing, detoxification, nervous system regulation, energy, and truth—but it’s also deeply human, grounded, practical, and honest.

When I talk about detox, I talk about it as signal. Every day, we receive information—from our food, our products, our environment, and our relationships. All of it is signal. Some signals are supportive and resonant. Others are disruptive and create interference.

That interference often shows up as symptoms… or a quiet feeling that something is “off.”
Detox is simply the removal of disruptive signals.

Think of it like this:
Things hit the body before they hit the mind.
We sense it before it makes sense.

So what kinds of signals are you receiving every day?
Which ones are supportive?
Which ones are disruptive?
And what effect are they having on how you feel?

Detox, WLJ-style, starts with listening to how your body responds to the signals it receives.

The Whole Life Journey exists to help people detox what doesn’t belong, realign with what’s true, and build a life that feels steady, alive, and sustainable.

A little insight into how I work:
I value curiosity over perfection, presence over pressure, and joy as a legitimate part of healing. I ask questions. I laugh easily. I challenge gently. And I care deeply about helping people discover truth and healing—inside a space that is intentionally designed to support them.

The Whole Life Journey is for the person who is exhausted by the constant struggle with their body and ready to live awake, steady, and free. It’s also for those who want to listen earlier—before small signals become big ones.

At The Whole Life Journey, we focus on real-world detox, nervous system safety, and sustainable change—rooted in truth and integrity—without requiring you to override yourself to succeed.

So if you’re the kind of person who senses there’s more beneath the surface—and you’re ready to stop ignoring it—you’re in the right place.

You don’t need to become someone new. You can simply come back to what’s already true.
